Green Day Smoothie

Once in a while I feel the need to get away from the beautiful bright purple and pink colored smoothies, and venture out into the rich, forest green smoothies of our world.

There you can find the hunter green kale smoothies and pretty much every other shade of green imaginable. Are you with me? Making a nutritious green smoothie will certainly ease your guilt on those days when you know you won't be eating lots of veggies.

So, here's one of those smoothies that will just do that! I'm a big fan of watercress, not just for it's peppery and tangy taste, but also because it's labeled as one of the most nutrient dense foods. Add some super nutritious avocado, cucumber, apple and lime juice and you're set for the day, people! Enjoy!

Green Day Smoothie

ingredients :

1/4 cup of watercress, rinsed

1/4 Granny Smith apple, not peeled and cut in cubes

1/2 of a mini cucumber

1/4 Avocado

1 tablespoon of fresh squeezed lime juice

1 tablespoon of raw honey

1 cup of almond milk

makes 1

make it :

Put all the ingredients in a blender and process till smooth. Drink right away. Voila!
